Inspired by “thank you, next”

I think the best thing you can do in life is to let positive energy into negative moments.

Lately I’ve been trying to give positive energy to my break ups. But it’s hard. I want to resent the other person for it not working out or blame them for how they made me feel. I want to focus on the bad things about the relationship to justify why we’re not together.

But as always, negative energy never gets us anywhere.

“thank you, next” by Ariana Grande takes an otherwise sad, angry and emotional situation and turns it into a personal lesson.

We all have love and patience, and we’re all amazing. All that was there in the beginning. But sometimes we have to journey outside ourselves before coming back home to appreciate what was already within us.

I’m making the journey home and growing as I go. I am giving credit to myself as an amazing person because I have a lot of love to give.

This isn’t an easy process by any means, but at least I’m starting now. My love will find a home to someone who deserves it, who is willing to return it as equally and powerfully. But for now, it’s going to flow right through and around me.
