- Getting to wear my Harry Potter pajamas and wearing slippers around the house.
- Time to bring out the hot chocolate and tea!
- Making tamales. On my dad’s side we have a family tradition of making (and eating) our own tamales. My favorite are the mole. I absolutely can’t wait.
- Putting up the Christmas tree and decorations! Last year we got our first real tree, so I can’t wait to do that again!
- Watching Elf!!! Kick off is Thanksgiving after dinner. My sister, cousin and I go to a Street Food Cinema showing of it as well. So many yummy food trucks to choose from and we watch the movie under the stars, bundled up under blankets.
- Baking Christmas cookies and decorating them.
- Being able to pair a scarf with my outfit and breaking out my jackets and sweaters.
- My sister is home from school and we can hang out and watch the cheesy romantic Christmas movies on Netflix and secretly love them.

- Miracle on 34th Street
- A Christmas Story
- It’s a Wonderful Life
- Seeing all the shops and stores have their own Christmas decorations.
- When the fireplace is on and it makes the house feel cozy.
