It’s hard to talk about anything these days without the corona virus being brought up.
But how can we help it when this is effecting everyone in the world?
I live in California, so we are under strict orders to stay at home and only go out for essentials. I’ve only been out of the house to grocery shop or to take a run or walk around the neighborhood.
I’m one of the lucky few who’s job hasn’t been affected. My company set everyone up to work from home. Plus, we’ve been deemed an essential business in California, and our business has been really good since the start of all this.
My “working from home” co-worker is my dad, who was told to stay home about a week before I was. He does a lot of traveling for his work so this has been almost a blessing in disguise because he gets to stay home with us.
My sister is also here with us, since her school has decided to do their next quarter all online. I feel bad that she doesn’t get to be at school and continue with her “college experience”. But this has also come at a good time for her because the last couple months have been hard on her. And I’m happy to spend more time with her.
It’s safe to say that our house is full, happy, and healthy, and it’s nice. I know a lot of people aren’t has lucky, so I’m grateful everyday for what I have.
Because we are more fortunate than others, we’re also trying to do our part to help. Every so often we order take out from local business and I’ve made a donations to organizations like No Kid Hungry and WHO.
However, I know that the best thing I can do is stay home and limit my exposure to others and be conscious about my hygiene.
Hope you’re staying home and all your loved ones are healthy.
